Eden was the stunning setting for a networking event with one hundred wedding industry experts from across Cornwall and Devon. This Spanish themed gathering was co-created by Jenny Wren and Hazel Parsons and held in the warm dry climate of the Med Biome. We were asked to create a wedding cake for the styled wedding shoot (with Toby Lowe), and the reception dessert. Seville oranges featured in a light almond cake, sharp with citrus tang, served simply with raspberries and physalis. This exceptionally tasty recipe was both gluten free, (using almonds instead of flour) and dairy free, meaning that all the guests could enjoy sharing the same dessert.
For the design, went to the genius of Antonio Gaudi for inspiration, tailoring together recognizable features of five of his most famous Barcelona projects. Our delicious Spanish wedding cake was very well received.
